BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Jayden Kratt (Sr., Palo Alto, Calif./Henry M. Gunn) of Division III No. 6-ranked Macalester College compiled 20 saves with three steals in four games during a 3-2 West Coast trip for the Scots to garner accolades as the March 23 Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Defensive Player of the Week.
She posted six saves in an 8-3 defeat of the California Institute of Technology on Thursday, March 19, before notching six saves with two steals at Division III No. 4 Chapman University (12-8 L) and four saves at Division III No. 7 Whittier College (7-5 W) on Friday March 20.
She did not appear in Macalester’s 7-6 sudden death overtime win at Division III No. 10 the University of Redlands on Saturday, March 21. Later in the day, she stopped four shots, grabbed a steal and distributed an assist during a 19-3 loss at California State University-Fullerton.
