BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Oriana Galasso (Jr., Gresham, Ore./Central Catholic) of Division III No. 8-ranked Macalester College tallied 12 goals, seven penalties drawn and seven steals in a quartet of league victories at home in the Leonard Center as the Scots concluded a perfect 8-0 league regular season. For her performance, she earns honors as the April 1 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Player of the Week.
2017 and 2018 CWPA Division III Champion Maclaester, which wrapped a perfect league regular season for the second consecutive year, downed Austin College (8-6 W), Carthage College (9-4 W), Wittenberg University (19-7 W) and Division III No. 10 Monmouth College (12-11 W) to complete an 8-0 run in CWPA Division III action.
Galasso notched a goal against Austin prior to putting away four markers versus Carthage on Saturday, March 30. On Sunday, March 31, she added six strikes against Wittenberg prior to notching a tally in a one-goal defeat of Monmouth.
