BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Oriana Galasso (So., Gresham, Ore./Central Catholic) of Division III No. 9-ranked Macalester College scored eight goals to take March 19 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Player of the Week laurels following a 1-4 West Coast weekend versus nationally-ranked competition.
She scored twice against Division III No. 6 University of La Verne (14-9 L), Division III No. 5 Chapman University (7-5 L) and Division III No. 3 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (12-7 L) along with solo tallies versus Division III No. 2 California Lutheran University (6-4 W) and Division III No. 7 University of Redlands (13-8 L).
The accolade marks her fifth weekly honor as she claimed the March 6 and April 10 Division III Player and Rookie of the Week awards as a freshman in 2017.
