BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Pooja Bucklin (Fr., Palo Alto, Calif./Henry M. Gunn) of Division III No. 7-ranked Macalester College scored 15 times and drew five ejections during a 3-1 weekend at home in Riley Pool to earn kudos as the March 25 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Rookie of the Week.
A repeat recipient from the league office after previously picking up the March 18 honor, Bucklin scored twice in an 8-5 victory over Carthage College before going off for eight goals in a 20-10 management of Washington & Jefferson College on Saturday, March 23.
On Sunday, March 24, she scored four times as the Scots struck down Division III No. 8 Austin College by a 12-11 score prior to putting away a solo marker in a 14-4 loss to defending CWPA Division III Champion/No. 5 Augustana College.
