BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Maddie O’Reilly (Jr., Villanova, Pa./Episcopal Academy) of No. 7-ranked the University of Michigan netted 10 goals, 14 assists, three steals and four field blocks at home during a 4-0 weekend at the Wolverine Invitational.  For her performance, O’Reilly is named the March 2 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.

A two-time Player of the Week selection after previously earning recognition on January 27 earlier this season, she aided the Maize & Blue’s cause by helping to top Santa Clara University (15-3 W), No. 15 Long Beach State University (12-9 W), Iona College (14-6 W) and No. 22 Bucknell University (15-6 W).

O’Reilly averaged 6.0 points, 2.5 goals and 3.5 assists during the four-game stretch at home in Canham Natatorium as she opened the weekend on Saturday, February 29 by netting a goal with a pair of assists in dispatching Santa Clara.  Following a three goal, five assist performance in closing out the opening day versus Long Beach State, she posted back-to-back hat-tricks on Sunday, March 1, against Iona (three goals, two assists) and Bucknell (three goals, five assists).   In addition, she recorded a field block in all four games as Michigan outscored its opponents 56-24 for an eight goal average margin of victory (14-6).
