2025 Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Men’s Water Polo Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) released the institution’s 2025 men’s water polo schedule.
Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, August 30-31, across town at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., as the Engineers face Fordham University, Bucknell University, Wagner College and Gannon University. Two weeks later, MIT heads to Annapolis,Md., to tangle with Mount St. Mary’s University, host the United States Naval Academy, Salem University and Connecticut College on Saturday-Sunday, September 13-14.
The team returns to New England on Saturday-Sunday, September 20-21, for clashes with Wheaton College (Mass.), Johns Hopkins University, Chapman University and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges at Brown University in Providence, R.I.
Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) action begins on Saturday, October 4, at Princeton University in Princeton, N.J., and Iona University in New Rochelle, N.Y., before the Engineers visit Long Island University in Brooklyn, N.Y,. on Sunday, October 5.
MIT stays in New England on Saturday-Sunday, October 11-12, for away games at Brown and Harvard. A week later, the Engineers head back across Cambridge for contests at Harvard against Salem, Wagner and George Washington University on Saturday-Sunday, October 18-19.
Five NWPC home games dot the MIT schedule to begin November as the Engineers host Harvard and Brown on Saturday, November 1, before welcoming Iona and Long Island on Saturday, November 8. The five-game series concludes on Sunday, November 9, as Princeton arrives at the Zesiger Center for the regular season and NWPC finale for MIT.
The NWPC Championship is slated for Friday-Sunday, November 21-23, at Brown with the victor advancing to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship field.
If MIT does not claim the NWPC title, the Engineers will head to the USA Water Polo Division III National Championship on Saturday-Sunday, December 6-7, with a guaranteed automatic berth to the four-team event as the lone men’s CWPA Division III institution. The Engineers will face the top two teams from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) along with the top Division III institution from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championship.
