BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Adam Ivatorov (So., Rockaway, N.Y./Staten Island Technical) and goalkeeper Colin Weaver (Sr., Huntington Beach, Calif./Mater Dei) of the Division III No. 6-ranked Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) men’s water polo team are are among seven athletes to garner All-Tournament recognition following the conclusion of the 2023 USA Water Polo Division III Collegiate Championship hosted by Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., on Saturday-Sunday, December 2-3.
The duo – who led MIT to a Third Place finish in the four team field behind champion/Division III No. 1 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges and runner-up/Division III No. 2 the University of Redlands – helped the Engineers defeat Division III No. 10 Augustana College in the Third Place game via a 11-9 score.
Ivatorov and Weaver are joined on the All-Tournment Team by Most Valuable Player Aidan Nettekoven and Donovan Davidon of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps along with Spencer Clinton and Roberto Barrera of Redlands. Augustana’s Oskar Bannister completes the seven-member All-Tournament squad.
