BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Colin Weaver (So., Huntington Beach, Calif./Mater Dei) of Division III No. 8-ranked the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) racked up 40 saves with three assists and four steals during a 2-1 weekend for the Engineers at Connecticut College during the 2021 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Eastern Championship. For his efforts in cage, Weaver is named the October 25 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Defensive Player of the Week.
He made 21 saves in an 11-10 sudden death overtime loss to Division III No. 5 Johns Hopkins University in the title game after aiding MIT to victories versus Augustana College (17-9 W) and Washington & Jefferson College (19-4 W).
