LEBANON, Ill. — McKendree University interim head men’s water polo coach Colleen Lischwe announced the addition of two student-athletes to join the Bearcats for the 2018 season.
Sean Legg (Hometown: Kars, Ontario, Canada)

Utility/Hole Set
Legg is a 6’2 utility/hole set player hailing from Kars, Ontario. He is a member of the honors society, and is a decorated player for the Capital Wave Water Polo Club, where he served as Team Captain of the 14U, 16U, and 19U teams. Legg has won Male Athlete of the Year, MVP, and the Spirit Award during his time with the Capital Wave Water Polo Club. As a senior he shot with 100% accuracy on penalty shots. As a junior, Legg was the top scorer of the 19U Eastern Conference in the National Championship League (Water Polo Canada). As a sophomore, he was selected to the All-Star team as a right side driver in the 16U Eastern Conference of the National Competitive League, the 18U team Ontario, and was long listed-for the 17U National Team in 2015. As a freshman, he was selected for the 18U team Ontario, as well as being selected to participate in the 16U National Team Centralization in 2014.
Brandon Kavanaugh (Hawthorn Woods, Illinois)

Kavanaugh is a 5’11 utility/two-meter defender coming from Hawthorn Woods, Illinois. As a senior, he served as Team Captain for both the Swimming & Diving and Water Polo teams for the 2016-17 season. As a junior, Kavanaugh was an integral part of his team earning second in Conference and Sectionals. During his junior year, he notched 10 goals, 12 assists, 34 steals, 10 kick-outs drawn, and 7 blocks. Kavanaugh also played for the Northern Illinois Polo Club.
