KENOSHA, Wisc. — Women’s water polo athlete Meghan Fisher (Jr., Tinley Park, Ill./Frankfort–Lincoln-Way East) received the institution’s 2020-21 Thomas Beau Memorial Scholarship.  The award is a $250 scholarship presented to the student manager for one of the Carthage teams who has done exemplary work and service for their athletic program.

A Special Education major, she is coming off a junior season in which Fisher registered nine goals, four assists, five blocks, eight steals and three saves to claim Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) All-Conference Second Team recognition.  The Firebirds finished in Fourth Place at the four-time CWPA Division III Championship hosted by Carthage.

In 2020, she appeared in seven games on the season and finished second on the team in goals with 14 prior to the COVID-19 pandemic terminating the year.  In addition, she posted eight assists, four steals, five ejections drawn and two field blocks following a freshman season in which she helped Carthage to a Fourth Place finish at the CWPA Division III Championship.
