BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Miami University men’s club team went two-for-four during the season-opening weekend of Great Lakes Division competition at the University of Notre Dame on Saturday-Sunday, October 5-6, to earn recognition as the division’s October 7 Player of the Week.
Miami is recognized for defeating Loyola University (Ill.) (16-3 W) and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (17-3 W) to accompany losses to Grand Valley State University (25-4 L) and the University of Notre Dame (19-3 L) following a 2023 season in which the program was unable to field a team for most of the year.
Last year, Miami competed in only one tournament due to being unable to put together a seven-man roster. This year, the team competed at Notre Dame with 10 athletes.
