BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Maxine Eschger (Fr., Los Angeles, Calif./Palisades Charter) of the University of California helped the Golden Bears post a 4-0 mark at the second league weekend of the season hosted by Fresno State University to collect the March 7 Women’s Collegiate Club Sierra Pacific Division Player of the Week.
Eschger, who posted 16 goals during the opening weekend of league competition at the University of California-Davis on February 26-27 when the Golden Bears defeated the University of California-Santa Cruz “A” (14-1 W), UC-Santa Cruz “B” (15-1 W), Fresno State (15-9 W) and the University of California-Davis “A” (14-12 W), helped California down California State University-Chico (14-2 W), Saint Mary’s University (5-0 W Forfeit), UC-Davis “B” (17-0 W) and UC-Davis “A” (14-7 W) to clinch the No. 1 seed for the Sierra Pacific Championship on April 9-10 at a site to be determined.
