BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — 2019 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III-West Region, CWPA Championship Most Valuable Player and CWPA Division III Most Valuable Player Becca Dabrowski (Sr. McHenry, Ill./West) of Monmouth College adds one final award to her illustrious senior season by collecting recognition as the April 15 CWPA Division III Player of the Week following her performance at the league championship tournament on Friday-Sunday, April 12-14, at Connecticut College.

Competing at Connecticut College’s Jane Cadwell Lott ’36 Natatorium, Dabrowski scored 27 goals over the span of three games to lead the way in the tournament, earn MVP honors and record a place on the All-Tournament First Team.

She opened the weekend with 11 markers in a 25-10 defeat of the host Camels prior to racking up 10 tallies in a 13-11 loss to Division III No. 7-ranked and three-time CWPA Division III Champion (2017, 2018, 2019) Macalester College in the semifinals.  She closed out her collegiate career by scoring six times in a 12-7 victory over Carthage College during the Third Place game.

The award marks Dabrowski’s third weekly honor from the league office in 2019 as she previously claimed Player of the Week status on March 4 and February 25 Defensive Player of the Week notice.
