BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Becca Dabrowski (Jr., McHenry, Ill./West) of Monmouth College posted 12 goals, five assists, nine steals and five kickouts drawn in a 3-0 weekend at Connecticut College’s Lott Natatorium to earn status as the March 12 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Player of the Week.
Competing in the opening weekend of league play, Dabrowski notched her 100th career goal to become only the second Fighting Scots’ player to achieve the accomplishment.
She recorded a hat-trick in each game by putting away three (10-3 W vs. Grove City College), five (9-7 W vs. Division III No. 10-ranked Connecticut College) and four (8-2 W vs Utica College) goals to pace Monmouth to a second place rating in the league standings.
The award marks the second Player of the Week award in Dabrowski’s career as she shared the March 27 Division III Player of the Week award with Lucille Moran (Jr., Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron) of Division III No. 7-ranked Macalester College last season.
