The assistant coach is responsible for aiding the head water polo coach in all aspects of the water polo program, including recruitment of qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation, budget management, fundraising and assisting with the overall administration of a Division I water polo program in accordance with institutional, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) and Metro Conference rules and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting in all facets of the men’s and women’s Division I varsity water polo room
- Assist in the evaluation and recruitment of qualified student-athletes
- Organizing and planning practice and game preparation
- Monitoring academic progress of both programs
- Monitoring budget management and fundraising
- Assist with scheduling
- Assist with planning for team travel
Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Successful collegiate coaching and/or collegiate playing experience desired.
- Review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
