BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Mount St. Mary’s University’s Jason O’Donnell (Fr., Beaconsfield, Quebec/John Abbott) racked up 12 goals during the Winter 2021 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC)-West Championship at the David M. Hallman III Aquatics Center to earn recognition as the March 1 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Rookie of the Week.
A two-time Rookie of the Week selection after previously taking the February 8 award, O’Donnell deposited seven goals in both a 15-10 defeat of Salem University and a 16-9 loss to Gannon University on Saturday, February 27. In the Third Place game on Sunday, February 28, he netted five goals in an 11-10 win against Mercyhurst University.
For his performance, O’Donnell was named the Winter 2021 MAWPC-West Championship Rookie of the Tournament.
