No. 12 Texas A&M University-vs.-No. 1 California Polytechnic State University Scoresheet (2025 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship – Game #21)

CARLISLE, Pa. — Bennett Steiger (Sr., Sonoma, Calif.) and Jackson Geiger (So., Aliso Viejo, Calif.) both posted hat-tricks with three goals as Pacific Coast Division Champion/No. 1-ranked California Polytechnic State University earned a return trip to the Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship title game by taking care of Texas Division Champion/No. 12 Texas A&M University, 11-4, at the Carlisle YMCA Aquatic Center.

A five-time National Champion (1999, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2007) and three-time runner-up (2003, 2008, 2022), Cal Poly will face three-time (2022, 2023, 2024) defending National Champion and one-time runner-up (2021) runner-up the University of California-San Diego at 12:45 p.m. Eastern in a quest to become the record holder for most Men’s National Collegiate Club Championships.

Cal Poly is currently tied with Lindenwood University (2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019) for the most all-time Men’s Collegiate Club crowns with five – a mark the Mustangs will look to break by snapping the Tritons’ three-year reign as the National Collegiate Club Champions.

Texas A&M – which previously claimed Seventh (2024), Ninth (2008), 13th (2007, 2016  and 15th (2001, 2022) Place finishes in prior trips to the National Collegiate Club Championship – will take on Southeast Division Champion the University of Alabama at 11:30 a.m in the Third Place game.

Cal Poly never trailed in breaking the Aggies as the Mustangs unleashed their offense for 5-1, 2-1 and 3-1 scoring advantages in the first, second and third quarters, respectively, prior to both teams posting solo markers in the fourth quarter.

Leyton Kraft (Sr., Pearland, Texas), Logan Kraft (So., Pearland, Texas), Alexander Hirjoi (Gr., Elk Grove Village, Ill.) and Channing Miller (Jr., Houston, Texas) combined for Texas A&M’s four goals, while Steiger (three), Geiger (three), Ryan Bousfield (Sr., Granite Bay, Calif.), Colin Parker (Jr., Walnut Creek, Calif.), Wyatt Rantz (Jr., Alamo, Calif.), Owen Taylor (Sr., Menlo Park, Calif.) and Bo Clemens (So., Solana Beach, Calif.) were responsible for Cal Poly’s offensive exploits.
