BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The road to the field of four teams for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s Water Polo Championship continues on Thursday, November 30, with the tournament quarterfinals at the University of Southern California’s Uytengsu Aquatics Center in Los Angeles, Calif.

The pair of quarterfinals begin at 5:00 p.m. Pacific/8:00 p.m. Eastern as No. 8-ranked/Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Champion the University of California-Davis battles No. 5/Golden Coast Conference Champion the University of the Pacific with the winner advancing to take on at-large selection/No. 1 the University of California-Los Angeles at 3:00 p.m. Pacific/6:00 p.m. Eastern in the tournament semifinals on Saturday, December 2. 

Pacific advanced to the quarterfinals courtesy a 16-2 defeat of Division III No. 1/Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Champion Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Saturday, November 25.

Following the UC-Davis-vs.-Pacific game, the host/Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Champion Trojans will attempt to stop No. 12/Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Champion Harvard University at 7:00 p.m. Pacific/10:00 p.m. Eastern.  The victor of the USC-Harvard game advances to meet defending National Champion/at-large selection/No. 3 the University of California at 5:15 p.m. Pacific/8:15 p.m. Eastern in the tournament semifinals on December 2 at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.

Harvard earned its spot in the quarterfinals via a 15-13 overtime defeat of No. 17/Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Champion George Washington University on November 25 in Cambridge, Mass.
