PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The No. 11-ranked Princeton University Tigers collected a Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) weekend sweep with a 13-7 victory over the host Brown University Bears.

The Tigers scored the first two goals of the game before Joan Coloma‘s tally with under a minute to go gave them a 3-1 advantage after eight minutes.

Brown countered to tie the game at three-all before Vladan Mitrovic put Princeton back ahead with 2:58 left in the first half. The two teams exchanged tallies before Ryan Neapole‘s goal gave the Tigers a 5-4 lead at halftime.

After a Brown goal to begin the third quarter, the Tigers ended the stanza with four straight to jump ahead, 9-5, with one quarter remaining. Head coach Dustin Litvak‘s group posted the first two goals of the fourth frame to go up six and was not threatened the rest of the way.

With one more weekend to go in the regular season, Princeton sits at the top of the NWPC with a 7-1 record. Harvard University is second at 6-2 followed by Brown and St. Francis College Brooklyn at 5-3.
