POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — No. 13-ranked Hartwick College extended its win streak to 10 games as the Hawks dispatched Siena College, 12-7, and host Marist College, 17-9, at the McCann Natatorium.

The Hawks never trailed in their match against the Saints of Siena and held a 5-2 lead at halftime.  Siena broke even with the Hawks in the third quarter as both teams put up pairs of goals, but was unable to cut into the Hawks’ lead. Hartwick put the game away in the fourth quarter outscoring the Saints 5-3.
 
Nikolina Mihajlovik (Mississauga, Ontario/Silverthorn Collegiate Institute) led the Hawks in scoring against Siena with a trio of goals. Madison Germuska (Encinitas, Calif./Cathedral Catholic), Lissa Westerman (Newport Beach, Calif./Newport Harbor) and Sarah Lewis (La Jolla, Calif./Cathedral Catholic) each scored a pair of goals in the Hawks’ win. Maryanna Antoniou (Glyfada, Greece/Second General High School of Glyfada), Gina Grauer (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) and Edra Colbeck (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) all scored a lone goal to round out Hartwick’s offense in the first game.
 
In the second game against Marist, the teams played to a two-all tie by the end of the first quarter. Hartwick proceeded to rack up seven unanswered goals in the second quarter to grab a 9-2 lead by halftime. The Hawks would hold onto their lead in the second half going on to win by eight.
 
Zsofia Polak (Dunaujvaros, Hungary/Rudas) hammered home six goals against the Red Foxes to lead the Hawks in scoring. L.J. Edwards (Encinitas, Calif./Cathedral Catholic) added a trio of goals. Tori Wilson (Kitchener, Ontario/Grand River Collegiate Institute) and Lena Kotanchyan (Moscow, Russia/Elk Island School) each had a duo of markers, while Lauren Brennan (Canberra, Australia/St. Clares College), Charlotte Cottle (Sydney, Australia/Presbyterian Ladies College), Maria Moya (Madrid, Spain/Ortega Y Gasset) and Becca Lelles (Boulder City, Nevada/Boulder City) posted single tallies.
