No. 15 Yale University-vs.-Georgia Institute of Technology Scoresheet (2026 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship – Game #12)

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Ryan Karr (Fr., Menlo Park, Calif.) of New England Division Champion/No 15-ranked Yale University scored six times to claim Player of the Game recognition and the duo of Teddy Meeks (Jr., Menlo Park, Calif.) and Antonio Giraldez Greco (So., New Haven, Conn.) both posted four markers as the trio accounted for all of the Bulldogs’ offense in a 14-10 defeat of Southeast Division runner-up the Georgia Institute of Technology in the final game on Day One of the 2026 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship.

Competing at the Huntsville Aquatics Center, Yale never trailed by opening up a 6-0 lead at the conclusion of the first quarter before expanding the spread to 9-1 entering halftime.  The margin dwindled in the second half as the Yellow Jackets outscored the Bulldogs 4-1 and 5-4 in the third and fourth quarters, respectively, to close within four goals prior to the final horn.

For Yale – which previously finished Second (2011), Seventh (2009), Fifth (2005), Fourth (2004) and Third (2003) at Nationals -the victory advances the team into another consolation game at 1:40 p.m. Central on Saturday, November 7, against Great Lakes Division Champion/No. 16 the University of Notre Dame with a potential spot in the Ninth Place game on the line.  The Bulldogs – who can now finish no lower than 12th place in the final 16-team championship standings – will make the Ninth Place game on Sunday, November 8, against the winner of another consolation game pitting Missouri Valley Division Champion Iowa State University and Florida Division Champion/No. 10 Florida International University with a “W”, while a loss will drop Yale into the 11th Place game.

Georgia Tech – which holds prior Eighth (2002 at California Polytechnic State University/2003 at Texas A&M University) and 11th (2007 at University of Arizona) place finishes with ties for 13th (2009 at University of Florida /2011 at home/2024 at Florida) and 15th (2008 at Ohio University/2021 at Huntsville Aquatic Center) – will see its season draw to a close at 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, as the Yellow Jackets will take on Mid-Atlantic Division Champion/No. 13 the University of Pittsburgh in a 13th/15th place game.  Due to limited time, the 13th-to-16th positions in the final standings are not played out with the winners of the two 13th/15th place games tying for 13th and the losers tying for 15th.

Goalkeeper Garrett Curtis (Jr., New Haven, Conn.) made five saves in the first half with one goal allowed to earn the victory for Yale.  Roshan Khanna (Fr., San Jose, Calif.) completed the contest with seven stops and nine goals permitted during the second half.

On the other end of the pool, Edward Chang (Gr., Houston, Texas) turned aside nine shots and allowed 14 goals to take the loss for Georgia Tech.  On offense, Justin Duong (So., Hong Kong) powered the Yellow Jackets with four goals.  Liam Bien (So., Cincinnati, Ohio) and Jameson Chatfield (Sr., Decatur, Calif.) deposited pairs of markers with Zachary Pierce (Fr., Discovery Bay, Calif.) and Joshua Ingleson (Gr., Marietta, Ga.) sticking in solo strikes.
