REDLANDS, Calif. — The No. 16-ranked Fordham University water polo started its West Coast trip by picking up a pair of wins to improve to 11-3 on the season.

Fordham opened the day with a 12-6 win over Division III No. 7 the University of Redlands, which began with the Rams scoring the first six goals of the game and never looking back.

Jacopo Parrella was the offensive star of the game for Fordham with three goals and three assists to go with a pair of steals.  Dimitris Koukias, Hans Zdolsek and Lucas Nieto Jasny each added two goals for Fordham, while Jason Hiremath, Christos Loupakis and George Papanikolaou had the remaining three tallies.

In net, Bailey O’Mara played the first three quarters, posting seven saves, a steal and a penalty block, while Thomas Lercari played the final quarter with one save and an assist.

In game two, the Rams handled Mt. San Antonio College by a final score of 18-6.

Leading 6-2 after the opening quarter, the Rams scored four times in the second and four in the third to build a 14-2 edge they refused to relinquish.

Fordham’s top performer was Skyler Knoflick, who netted four goals to go with an assist, two steals, and four swim-off wins.  Nieto Jasny, Gabriel Melillo, Sebastian Zapatero, Victor Schultz and Michael Rahner each had two markers for the Rams with Koukias, Parrella, Papanikolaou and Daniel Lynch each chipping in a marker. 

Defensively, Rahner registered five steals in the game, while Lercari had nine saves and an assist in net.
