PROVIDENCE, R.I. — No. 20-ranked Brown University bettered the Virginia Military Institute, 24-8, at home in the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
The Bears started the game strong with the first goal netted by Cleo Washer. Brown pushed its first half lead to 10 and took a 14-4 lead into halftime.
Megan Newby led the Bears, scoring six times. Alexandra Love netted four goals, with Samantha Kim right behind, scoring three. Eight other Bears scored, keeping the team in the lead throughout.
Somto Okafo saved four goals from the Keydets, with Sarah Decker also saving two shots.
