BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The Long Island University men’s water polo team wrapped up its weekend homestand by dropping a 16-6 game to No. 20-ranked Harvard University in Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) competition.
The Crimson jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but LIU kept fighting back and held the deficit to three going into the third quarter. However, the Crimson took control of the match on the way to a 10-goal victory.
Riyad Shehadeh scored two goals, bringing his team high total to 34 on the season. Karl Lovett scored two goals as well, while Josep Jodra Muñoz and Ben LeClair each recorded one.
Ethan Zirh made nine saves to raise his season total to 151.
