PRINCETON, N.J. — The No. 20-ranked Princeton University Tigers picked up their sixth straight win and first Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) victory with a 12-8 decision over the George Washington University Colonials on the road at the Smith Center.

Amy Castellano continued her impressive weekend as she tallied five goals and two assists. Alana Evans and CiCi Stewart each had two goals, while Marissa Webb had 12 stops in the win.

Princeton produced a five-goal first quarter with Castellano securing a hat trick in that frame. In front by two, the Tigers collected the final three tallies of the first half to take a 10-5 advantage into halftime. George Washington made a push to close the gap to two, 10-8, as the fourth stanza got started. Webb and the Tigers’ defense shined in the final eight minutes, not allowing a goal while the goalie had three of her 14 saves in that stretch.
