PROVIDENCE, R.I. — No. 21-ranked Brown University earned a 14-9 comeback win over Bucknell University to close out a Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I league weekend. Lily Weiser led the Bears with four goals and Zoe King tallied three for the Bears.
Bucknell took a 5-1 lead after the first quarter with King scoring the lone goal of the opening eight minutes for Brown. The Bears turned things around in the second with goals from Claire Poissonnier, King, Alexandra Love, Sophie Golub and Tallulah Clancy to outscore the Bison 5-0 and take a 6-5 lead into halftime.
After Bucknell tied the game early in the third quarter, Brown responded with goals from Weiser, Golub and King to go back up by three goals.
The Bears took full control of the game in the fourth, getting three goals from Weiser and one each from Poissonnier and Ella Palmer to pull away from the Bison.
