BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The top four positions at the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Championship at the University of Michigan on Friday-Sunday, April 10-12, will be decided in Providence, R.I., on Saturday, April 4, as No. 23-ranked Brown University hosts No. 11 Harvard University in the 2026 CWPA Division I regular season finale.

For fans unable to make the weekend holiday trip to New England, Brown is supplying a live stream of the 1:00 p.m. Eastern game on ESPN+.

The game has significance to not only the Bears and Crimson, but also No. 12 Princeton University and No. 12 the University of Michigan as the outcome will determine the No. 1-to-4 positions in the CWPA Championship bracket.

Currently, Michigan and Princeton sit a top of the league standings as the Wolverines and Tigers hold 5-1 marks, while Harvard University (4-1) and Brown (3-2) have competed in one less game..

If Harvard wins, the Crimson claim the No. 1 position with Princeton, Michigan and Brown following at No. 2-to-4.  Harvard – which will tie Princeton and Michigan for the regular season title with 5-1 marks via the victory – finishes first in the standings due to goal differential as the Crimson defeated the Tigers (8-5 W) and fell to the Wolverines (14-13 L) for a +2 differential, compared to Princeton’s -2 (8-5 L vs. Harvard, 9-8 W vs. Michigan) and Michigan’s even total (14-13 W vs. Harvard, 9-8 L vs. Princeton).  The tiebreaker for the No. 2 position between Princeton and Michigan reverts to their head-to-head competition with the Tigers coming out on top due to their 9-8 win.  Brown take the No. 4 seed due to finishing with a 3-3 record.

If Brown wins, Princeton and Michigan finish with 5-1 records as the Tigers take the top spot due to their head-to-head defeat of the Wolverines.  Michigan comes in at No. 2, while Brown and Harvard tie at 4-2 with the Bears clipping the Crimson for the No. 3 position due to holding a head-to-head win.
