PRINCETON, N.J. — Roko Pozaric and George Caras scored hat-tricks as the No. 6-ranked Princeton University men’s water polo team took care of business against the No. 15 Lancers of California Baptist University, 15-7, on the first day of the 2023 Princeton Invitational.

After the Lancers scored the first goal of the game in DeNunzio Pool, the Tigers blitzed the road team with five straight goals, to lead by four after eight minutes.

Cal Baptist cut the deficit in half in the second frame, but tallies from Pozaric and Vladan Mitrovic pushed Princeton’s advantage back to four at 7-3 heading into halftime.

Head coach Dustin Litvak‘s unit ripped off seven goals in the third stanza, stretching its advantage to double-digits at 14-4 by the conclusion of the third quarter to put the contest away.

JP Ohl and Yurian Quinones aided the Tigers’ cause with pairs of goals, while Mitrovic, Tigran Sennett, Gavin Molloy, William Swart and Matej Sekulic each dented the twine once.
