BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The road to Berkeley, Calif., and the 2022 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s National Collegiate Water Polo Championship at the University of California’s Spieker Aquatics Complex will start in Princeton, N.J., as the Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Champion Tigers of No. 8-ranked Princeton University host the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Champion Rams of No. 19 Fordham University in an NCAA Championship play-in game on Saturday, November 26.
Princeton, which will host the game at home in DeNunzio Pool, will tangle with Fordham at Noon Eastern with streaming coverage provided on ESPN+ available by CLICKING HERE.
It will mark the second meeting between the Tigers and Rams this season as Princeton picked up a 13-12 victory at DeNunzio on Sunday, September 11. Tied at 12-all with approximately two minutes to play, the Tigers pulled out the win as Roko Pozaric scored with 1:17 on the clock to allow the home team to escape with a one-goal victory.
Further, this marks the second time in as many years Princeton and Fordham will meet in an NCAA Play-In game as the Tigers claimed a 17-8 contest last year at DeNunzio for the program’s first NCAA Championship tournament win since 2011.
