BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Penn State Behrend’s Marley Persch (Fr., Hudsonville, Mich./Hudsonville) registered 10 goals, two steals, two drawn kickouts, an assist and a field block during a 2-2 league weekend at Washington & Jefferson College’s Henry Natatorium to earn the March 21 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Rookie of the Week award.
Competing during the opening CWPA Division III-East Region weekend, Persch notched pairs of goals versus the host Presidents (12-11 L) and Utica College (17-4 W) to accompany trios of markers against Grove City College (14-13 L) and Connecticut College (16-6 W).
