BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Selena Hughes (Fr., Carlsbad, Calif./San Marcos) of Penn State Behrend recorded six goals in games as Division III No. 9-ranked Occidental College and the California Institute of Technology last week to earn a nod as the March 16 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Rookie of the Week.
She opened the week on Monday, March 9, by finding the back of the cage once in a 19-8 loss to Occidental, prior to recording five goals during a 13-10 defeat of Caltech on Tuesday, March 10.
In addition, she added an assist, four goals and a drawn kickout to record her inaugural weekly honor from the league office.
