About Alex Stankevitch: Among the leading officials in the collegiate game, Alex Stankevitch is a regular fixture on the deck for some of the most important games on the domestic and international stages. A Social Studies and Special Education High School teacher in south New Jersey when not officiating, Stankevitch emigrated to the United States from Belarus and graduated from the University of California-Santa Barbara. During his time at Merced College and UC-Santa Barbara, he began to officiate ultimately rising to his current position in the collegiate game.
