BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Princeton University alumna Ashleigh Johnson turned aside 12-of-19 shots faced as the United States Women’s National Team overwhelmed the Netherlands, 11-7, at the Debrecen Swimming Pool Complex in both teams’ second games in Group B at the 2022/19th Annual FINA World Championships hosted in Budapest, Hungary.

Johnson, who stopped all five shots she faced during the first half in a 24-2 rout of the Republic of South Africa in the opening round of Group B competition on Monday, June 20, has led the United States to a 2-0 mark to date at the FINA Championship.

A 2017 Princeton graduate and two-time Olympic gold medalist, she will look to help Team USA wrap-up Group B action with a perfect 3-0 mark on Friday, June 24, as the Americans will face Argentina.  The game will pit two former Princeton Tigers as 2015 Tigers’ alumnae Ashley Hatcher competes for Argentina.
