BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Princeton University alumna Ashley Hatcher scored once via a man-up tally with 4:51 left in the fourth quarter as Argentina suffered a 29-6 setback against the Netherlands in both teams’ opening game of competition at the Debrecen Swimming Pool Complex in the opening round of Group B competition at the 2022/19th Annual FINA World Championships hosted in Budapest, Hungary.
Argentina never led in the game as the Netherlands outscored its foe 8-1 in both the first and second quarters prior to racking up 6-2 and 7-2 advantages on the scoreboard in the third and fourth quarters, respectively.
A 2015 graduate of Princeton, Hatcher will seek to lead Argentina to its inaugural victory at the FINA World Championships on Wednesday, June 22, when the squad faces the Republic of South Africa in a continuation of Group B action.
