BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Antonio Knez (Fr., Dubrovnik, Croatia/Gimnazia Dubrovnik) of No. 14-ranked Princeton University made 23 saves with an assist during a 2-0 week versus non-conference competition at home in DeNunzio Pool to earn status as the September 23 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Defensive Player of the Week.
Competing on Saturday, September 21, in a doubleheader, Knez made 13 saves with a .813 save percentage, an assist and a steal in a 9-3 victory over Wagner College. He capped off the day by turning aside 10 scoring tries in a 12-10 defeat of the United States Naval Academy.
