BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Ava Houlahan (Fr., Laguna Beach, Calif./Laguna Beach) of No. 11-ranked Princeton University notched six goals during a 4-0 weekend for the Tigers at the Aztec Invitational hosted by San Diego State University. For her performance, she is named the March 13 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie of the Week.
She opened the weekend on Saturday, March 11, by scoring once in a 15-8 defeat of No. 24 San Diego State prior to helping the cause in a 21-13 romp versus Siena College. On Sunday, March 12, she punched in a pair of strikes during an 18-3 defeat of Westcliff University prior to notching a hat-trick with a trio of tallies in an 11-10 nailbiter against No. 16 the University of California-San Diego.
