BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — CJ Wiegel (Fr., Riverside, Conn./Greenwich) of No. 16-ranked Princeton University made 13 saves in a 14-8 defeat of Iona University at home in DeNunzio Pool on Wednesday, March 20, to earn the March 25 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week award.
A first-time weekly honor recipient from the league office, she helped Princeton get by the Gaels for the team’s 15th victory of the season.
