BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Haley Wan (Sr., Irvine, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) of No. 11-ranked Princeton University posted 11 goals, 10 assists, 12 steals, two ejections drawn and three field blocks in a 4-0 league weekend at Harvard University to garner recognition as the April 9 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Co-Player of the Week.

She shares the Player of the Week nod with Julia Sellers (Jr., Santa Ana, Calif./Foothill) of No. 10 University of Michigan who notched 15 goals, five assists, eight steals and a field block during a 4-1 weekend at Harvard.

Wan opened the weekend in Cambridge, Mass., with two goals, two assists and a steal in a 10-8 defeat of No. 13 Indiana University prior to notching three goals, two assists and four steals in a 15-7 victory over Saint Francis University on Saturday, April 7. 

On Sunday, April 8, she racked up four goals, three assists, a steal, two ejections drawn and a field block in helping turn back No. 16 Hartwick College.  However, her best game came against No. 10 University of Michigan as she recorded two goals, three assists, six steals and two field blocks in aiding the Tigers to upset the Wolverines by an 8-7 score in sudden death overtime.

The award marks the sixth weekly award bestowed on Wan during her intercollegiate career.  The May 11 Rookie of the Week with then teammate Emily Smith during the 2015 season, she previously notched Player of the Week notice during the 2016 (February 15) and 2017 (March 20, April 10) seasons before picking up the March 19 award earlier in 2018.
