BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Jovana Sekulic (So., Belgrade, Serbia/The Episcopal Academy) of No. 13-ranked Princeton University compiled 12 goals, three assists and 23 ejections drawn during a 5-0 weekend for the Tigers at home during the Princeton Invitational to earn recognition as the February 27 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.

A three-time Rookie of the Week selection (January 24, February 28, April 25) and the March 14 Player of the Week in 2022,  Sekulic adds her fifth career weekly honor from the league office for a string of contests in which she helped the Tigers knock-off a pair of CWPA opponents and up the program’s record to 12-1 on the season.

She opened the weekend by pumping in four strikes on Saturday, February 25, against No. 19 Harvard University in the Tigers’ CWPA league-opener.  She tacked on another pair of markers in a 17-8 defeat of St. Francis College Brooklyn to conclude the day.

On Saturday, February 26, she deposited pairs of tallies in helping Princeton stop No. 22 Brown University (12-6 W) in league competition before the Tigers took down Siena College (14-7 W) and La Salle University (16-6 W).  She reached a milestone against La Salle as she netted her 100th career collegiate goal in 37 games.
