BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — 2024 Olympian Jovana Sekulic (Sr., Belgrade, Serbia/The Episcopal Academy) of Princeton University and former University of Maryland athlete/Women’s National Team Operations Manager Ally Beck were unable to help slip the United States past Greece as the Americans fell by a 14-10 count in the semifinals of the 2025 World Aquatics Championship hosted by Singapore in the Republic of Singapore.

Team USA will return to the water at 5:35 a.m. Eastern/2:35 a.m. Pacific on Wednesday, July 23, in a battle for Third Place against the victor of a semifinal matching Hungary and Spain.

Sekulic played 7:27 for the Americans and shot zero-for-two on action shots.

Following a first quarter in which both teams scored twice, Greece managed to acquire leads of 6-5 and 9-8 by the end of the second and third quarters, respectively, prior to outscoring the United States by a 5-2 count in the fourth quarter to claim victory.
