BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Kayla Yelensky (Jr., Stamford, Conn./Greenwich Academy) produced six goals and 11 drawn exclusions during No. 8-ranked Princeton University’s Hawaiian trip to earn status as the January 29 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.

A 2023 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Third Team All-America selection along with earning CWPA Championship All-Tournament First (2023) and Second (2022) Team accolades during her inaugural pair of seasons in the Garden State, Yelensky previously earned Rookie of the Week notices on February 14 and March 14, 2022.

During Hawaii’s Rainbow Invitational on Friday-Saturday, January 26-27, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she drew eight ejections in a 10-6 loss to the host/No. 4 Rainbow Wahine.  She capped off the weekend by scoring once in an 8-7 loss to No. 5 Fresno State University prior to racking up a career-high five tallies in an 11-6 dispatching of Azusa Pacific University.
