BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Kayla Yelensky (Fr., Stamford, Conn./Greenwich Academy) of No. 19-ranked Princeton University racked up 14 goals and 11 assists during a 3-2 week for the Tigers in California to earn notice as the March 14 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie of the Week.

A two-time Rookie of the Week selection following a prior accolade on February 14, Yelensky opened the week by posting four goals and three assists in a 17-12 loss at No. 10 Long Beach State University on Tuesday, March 8.  She notched two goals and three assists in a 15-12 dispatching of Concordia University on Wednesday, March 9, prior to Princeton competing at the Loyola Marymount University Invitational on Friday-Saturday, March 11-12.

At LMU on March 11, she netted four goals in a 13-9 defeat by the host/No. 17 Lions prior to putting a away a shot and handing out five helpers in a 16-9 victory over Biola University.

Yelensky capped off her week on the West Coast by scoring three times for her third hat-trick of the trip as Princeton topped California State University-East Bay, 10-6.
