BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Keller Maloney (So., Los Angeles, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) of No. 18-ranked Princeton University returned home to account for six goals, eight assists and three steals during a 1-3 weekend for the Tigers at the SoCal Invitational hosted by the University of California-Los Angeles and Loyola Marymount University.  For his efforts, he claims the September 30 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Player of the Week award.

Competing at LMU’s Burns Aquatic Center, the Tigers fell to No. 5 the University of Southern California (14-6 L), host/No. 10 Loyola Marymount (15-13 L) and Division III No. 1/No. 18 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (8-5 L) to go along with a 12-10 defeat of the United States Air Force Academy.

Maloney accounted for a goal with a pair of assists against No. 5 University of Southern California (USC) on Friday, September 27, prior to tacking on a goal and two assists versus Loyola Marymount and two goals with three assists and a steal in helping to ground Air Force on Saturday, September 28.  In the weekend finale against Pomona-Pitzer on Sunday, September 29, he racked up two goals with an assist and a steal.

The accolade marks Maloney’s second weekly honor from the league office following NWPC Rookie of the Week status on November 5 during the 2018 season.
