BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Kristóf Kovács (Fr., Hódmezovásárhely, Hungary/Bethlen Gábor Reformed) went 2-0 with 21 saves for the host/No. 5-ranked Tigers of Princeton University during the Princeton Invitational to earn commendation as the September 11 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Rookie of the Week.
He made six saves in a 17-5 defeat of Wagner College on Saturday, September 9, prior to turning aside a season-high 15 shots as the defending NWPC Champion Tigers took down defending Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Champion Fordham by a 15-9 count.
