BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Lindsey Lucas (Fr., Orinda, Calif./Miramonte) made 41 saves over the span of four games to help No. 13-ranked Princeton University to a 5-0 record at the 2023 Princeton Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, February 25-26.  For her efforts, she garners status as both the February 27 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week .

A five-time weekly honor recipient from the league office this season as she previously claimed the January 30 CWPA Division I Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week awards before garnering notice as the February 13 Defensive Player of the Week, Lucas helped Princeton take down both No. 19 Harvard University (11-4 W) and No. 20 Brown University (12-6 W) in league competition along with victories over St. Francis College Brooklyn (17-8 W) and La Salle University (16-6 W).

On Saturday, February 25, she posted a pair of 13 save performances against Harvard and St. Francis Brooklyn.  Further, she turned away six shots against Brown and nine versus La Salle on Sunday, February 26, as Princeton upped its record to 12-1 on the season.
