BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Lindsey Lucas (Fr., Orinda, Calif./Miramonte) stopped 26 shots over the span of three games to lead No. 14-ranked Princeton University to a 3-0 record at the 2023 Bucknell University Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, February 11-12. For her efforts, she garners status as the February 13 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week .
A three-time weekly honor recipient from the league office as she previously claimed the January 30 CWPA Division I Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week awards earlier this season, Lucas opened the weekend in Lewisburg, Pa., by turning aside nine shots in a 9-7 defeat of No. 21 Long Island University on February 11.
A day later, she blocked away 10 scoring tries in a 13-6 victory over Villanova University prior to swatting seven attempted strikes in an 18-3 win versus Mount St. Mary’s University.
