BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Marissa Webb (Fr., Danville, Calif./San Ramon) made 32 saves in 15 quarters over the span of four games at the 2018 LMU Invitational hosted by Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Calif., to lead the Tigers to a 4-0 record and collect recognition as the March 19 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week.

She posted 10 saves in an 8-6 defeat of No. 23 California Baptist University prior to turning aside eight shots in an 8-7 victory over No. 24 Marist College on Saturday, March 17.  On Sunday, March 18, she notched five saves in three quarters of work to earn an 18-2 win versus Fresno Pacific University before swatting away nine tries in a 6-5 victory against No. 16 Loyola Marymount University.

The award marks the second Defensive Player of the Week nod in Webb’s brief intercollegiate career as she previously earned the February 19 award earlier this season.
