BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goaltender Marissa Webb (So., Danville, Calif./San Ramon) of No. 18-ranked Princeton University posted 35 saves in three games during the Harvard University Invitational at Blodgett Pool in Cambridge, Mass., to garner recognition as the March 4 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week.

The 2018 CWPA Division I Rookie of the Year, she opened the tournament on Saturday, March 2, by stopping 10 shots, including three in overtime, as the Tigers turned back the host/No. 15 Crimson by a 7-6 count in overtime during a CWPA league game.  Webb added 11 more stops during the evening in a narrow 9-8 loss to No. 11 University of California-Davis.

On Sunday, March 3, she again stood tall for the Tigers in cage by collecting 14 saves, including a decisive stop in the waning seconds of overtime, as Princeton topped No. 24 California Baptist University, 11-10, in overtime.

A four-time CWPA Division I Defensive Player of the Week selection, she currently stands at 6-4 with a .549 save percentage in 10 games to date in 2019.
