BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Roko Pozaric (Fr., Zagreb, Croatia/Gimnazija Titusa Brezovackog) of No. 11-ranked Princeton University tallied 16 goals, 12 assists, six steals and six ejections drawn during a 4-1 weekend for the Tigers at home during the Princeton Invitational to garner status as both the September 13 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Player and Rookie of the Week.

A four-time weekly honor recipient as he claimed the September 6 NWPC Player of the Week award and shared Rookie of the Week notice with Harvard University’s Andrej Basica (Fr., Belgrade, Serbia/Third Belgrade Grammar School) last week, he helped the Tigers defeat No. 19 California Baptist University (16-10 W), Division III No. 6 Johns Hopkins University (20-12 W), No. 15 Bucknell University (18-10 W) and No. 20 Fordham University (13-6 W) with a defeat by No. 3 Stanford University (16-5 L).

Overall, his best games came versus Cal Baptist and Bucknell has the first-year fired in four goals and dished out four assists in helping to stop the Lancers on Friday, September 10.  On Sunday, September 12, he netted five goals as Princeton turned back the defending Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Champion Bison of Bucknell.

To date, Pozaric has contributed 27 goals this season while shooting 55.1 percent in the pool to lead the squad. He also leads the team in assists (18).
