BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Roko Pozaric (Fr., Zagreb, Croatia/Gimnazija Titusa Brezovackog) of No. 9-ranked Princeton University tallied five goals and two assists during a 2-0 homestand for the Tigers against No. 20 the United States Naval Academy and Wagner College to claim notice as the September 27 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) co-Rookie of the Week.
Competing on Saturday, September 25, at home in DeNunzio Pool he snagged two goals and two helpers versus the Midshipmen and then recorded his ninth hat-trick of the season against the Seahawks.
Pozaric leads the team with 38 tallies, 24 assists, 20 steals and 47 sprint victories and has been honored with a conference weekly accolade every week this season.
A six-time weekly honor recipient as he claimed the NWPC Player of the Week award and shared Rookie of the Week notice with Harvard University’s Andrej Basica (Fr., Belgrade, Serbia/Third Belgrade Grammar School) on September 6 before picking up recognition as both the Player and Rookie of the Week on September 13, Pozaric shared Rookie of the Week honors with Adonis Vlassis (So., Athens, Greece/Lycee Franchohellenique Eugene Delacroix) of St. Francis College Brooklyn last week.
